Mong Kok and Tai Kok Tsui direction
Mong Kok, Prince Edward and Tai Kok Tsui usually take local roads to reach Lin Cheung Road or West Kowloon Highway, then Tsing Kwai Highway toward Tsing Yi and Lantau. The exact entrance depends on the pickup street, one-way roads, bus lanes and traffic at the time.
Sham Shui Po, Cheung Sha Wan and Mei Foo direction
Sham Shui Po, Cheung Sha Wan, Lai Chi Kok and Mei Foo are closer to the West Kowloon and Kwai Tsing direction, so the driving distance is generally shorter than from Mong Kok, and fixed fares are usually lower.
No harbour crossing needed on the common route
Mong Kok, Sham Shui Po and Hong Kong Airport are all on the road network north of Victoria Harbour. The normal route does not pass through the Cross-Harbour Tunnel, Eastern Harbour Crossing or Western Harbour Crossing, so there is no harbour tunnel toll or cross-harbour return surcharge. Tsing Ma Control Area tolls have been waived, and Ting Kau Bridge, Kap Shui Mun and the airport tunnel section are also toll-free.
Traffic within Mong Kok can be slower than the highway
Nathan Road, Argyle Street, Nelson Street, Shantung Street and areas near hotels may be affected by bus stops, pickup/drop-off, roadworks and pedestrian traffic. The most unpredictable stretch during peak hours is often the short drive from the hotel or building to the West Kowloon Highway entrance, not the North Lantau Highway itself.

Notes on Mong Kok Hotel and Residential Pickup
Nathan Road may not suit long-term parking
Some main Mong Kok roads have bus stops, pickup/drop-off restrictions, heavy traffic and many pedestrians. The driver may not be able to park at the hotel's main entrance for long, so passengers should wait at a lawful pickup point as directed by hotel staff or the driver.
The hotel lobby and car park entrance may differ
