To ask about a Hong Kong airport pick-up or drop-off, a flat fare, 15% off the meter, an early-morning flight, a large group or oversized baggage, or a transfer to a hotel, an attraction or a Hong Kong boundary crossing, call or WhatsApp 5584 6444. WhatsApp suits sending the address, flight, baggage, a location pin and a written quotation all at once. Your trip is only arranged once you have a clear booking confirmation and the dispatch details.

Best for a simple trip you would rather explain out loud. Where the address, flight or baggage details are complicated, we still suggest sending them separately as text on WhatsApp.
Call 5584 6444Transfer enquiries 24 hours
We take airport transfer enquiries through the small hours, early morning, daytime and late evening, including red-eye and early flights.
How long a reply and a dispatch take depends on how many enquiries are in, how complex the trip is, the district, traffic, weather and vehicle availability. We cannot promise a fixed number of minutes.

Send Everything at Once and the Quotation Will Be More Accurate
"How much to the airport?" on its own is usually not enough to quote on. Different Hong Kong districts, estate entrances, vehicle classes, baggage, tunnels and stops all change the price. At minimum we need the full pick-up point, the date and time, the direction, the number of passengers and your baggage.

When Is a Booking Actually Confirmed?
- You send the full details: address, date, time, destination, number of passengers, baggage and flight.
- You receive a price or a fare basis: confirming whether it is a flat fare, the statutory meter, or a meter discount.
- You check what is included: tunnels, baggage, the telephone booking fee, parking, waiting and stops en route.
- The trip is expressly accepted: both you and we confirm the date, time, address and price.
- You receive the dispatch arrangement: the registration number, vehicle class, driver or meeting details, as arranged.
- You check again before boarding: the registration number, body colour and destination of the car that turns up must match the booking.
None of the Following Means the Booking Is Confirmed
A message showing delivered or read, an automatic reply, having only asked the price, only getting "we will come back to you", the date and time not being confirmed, or no clear reply accepting the trip — none of these should be taken to mean a car is coming.
For the full booking process see How to Book an Airport Taxi and How to Call a Taxi.
Which Charges Should You Confirm When Asking the Price?
| Charge | What to ask about |
|---|---|
| The total price | Whether it is a fixed flat fare, the statutory meter, or the final meter reading with an agreed discount |
| Tunnel and road charges | Whether the usual route charges are already included, and how a reasonable diversion is handled |
| Ordinary baggage | Whether it is included; on a statutory metered trip the current charge is $6 per piece |
| Telephone booking | Whether the statutory $5 per trip telephone booking fee is included |
| Airport pick-up | Parking, free waiting and what happens past it |
| Stops en route | Whether a second collection or drop-off point means a new quotation |
| Electronic payment | Whether a specific brand is supported, and whether an individual platform charges a fee |
| Changes and cancellation | How it is handled before and after the driver sets out, if the flight is cancelled, or if the passenger does not show |
A "Flat Fare" Should Be More Than One Number
A reliable written confirmation should set out the origin, destination, date, time, class of vehicle, passengers, baggage and the charges included. If all you get is a price with no terms, ask before accepting it.
You may want to check the Airport Taxi Price List, the fare calculator, the Hong Kong Taxi Fare Guide and the Surcharge Guide first.
Contact Arrangements for Airport Pick-Ups and Drop-Offs
Drop-off: confirm your check-in terminal first
Give the airline and flight number when you book. Hong Kong International Airport's T2 currently handles mainly departure check-in, bag drop, security and immigration for some airlines; others may still check in at T1. Confirm against your airline's latest notice before you leave.
Pick-up: arrivals and meeting remain at T1
Arrivals and meeting at Hong Kong airport are currently at Terminal 1, where the arrivals hall is split into Area A and Area B. After clearing immigration and collecting your bags, check the flight screens or the signs on site to confirm which exit you are actually coming out at.
Tell us about a delay without being asked
The flight number helps us track the aircraft, but it cannot predict how long immigration, baggage reclaim and customs will take. If the flight is delayed, cancelled, renumbered or diverted, or your baggage is delayed, please update us in the original booking conversation.
Confirm the car once you have your bags
A flight showing as arrived does not mean the passenger can board straight away. Telling the driver where you actually are once you have cleared immigration, collected everything and are ready to leave the arrivals area saves both sides hunting for each other on different floors or between Areas A and B.
For the detailed arrangements see Small-Hours and Red-Eye Transfers and the Airport Taxi Queue Guide.
Large Groups, Oversized Baggage and Special Needs
- Give the number of adults, children and infants separately.
- State how many large bags, medium bags, cabin cases and backpacks there are.
- For a pushchair, say whether it folds and what size it is folded.
- For a wheelchair, give the dimensions, whether it folds, and what help is needed getting in and out.
- For a golf bag, bike box, instrument or any extra-long item, give the length, width and height.
- If a pet is travelling, say what species, how many, and whether there is a carrier.
- For 5 or 6 people, or more than 4 large bags, confirm the vehicle's actual seats and boot capacity first.
- Where it exceeds what can be carried safely, several vehicles or another suitable class should be arranged.
No Baggage Charge Does Not Mean Unlimited Capacity
Even where a flat fare is confirmed as including the ordinary baggage charge, baggage still must not obstruct the driver's view, the doors, the seat belts or the space needed to get out. With a lot of people and bags, ask us to compare a larger vehicle against two ordinary taxis.
Payment and Receipt Enquiries
| Item | Arrangement |
|---|---|
| Hong Kong dollars in cash | Still accepted; smaller notes are easier |
| Electronic payment | A taxi must offer at least one QR and one non-QR method, but the actual brands differ from vehicle to vehicle |
| Octopus/credit card | If you must use one, name the brand and the requirement when you book |
| Alipay/WeChat Pay | Say whether it is the Hong Kong or mainland version; the equipment in the vehicle decides |
| PayMe/FPS | Some vehicles support them; confirm when you book |
| Fare receipt | You may ask for a machine-printed receipt; if the printer fails you should be given a handwritten one |
| Electronic transaction record | It proves you paid, but it is not necessarily the statutory taxi fare receipt |
For the full details see Hong Kong Taxi Payment Methods and the Detailed Payment Methods Guide.
For a Boundary Crossing Transfer, Be Specific About the Destination
| Crossing | Usual passenger clearance hours | How to write it when booking |
|---|---|---|
| Shenzhen Bay | Usually 06:30–24:00 | Shenzhen Bay Control Point, Hong Kong Port Area |
| Lok Ma Chau Spur Line/Futian | Usually 06:30–22:30 | Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Point/Futian |
| Lok Ma Chau Control Point/Huanggang | 24 hours | San Tin Huanggang shuttle terminus, or the Lok Ma Chau Control Point overnight |
| Heung Yuen Wai/Liantang | Usually 07:00–22:00 | Heung Yuen Wai Control Point/Liantang |
| Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port | 24 hours | Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port public transport interchange |
An Ordinary Hong Kong Taxi Covers Only the Hong Kong Leg
An ordinary red, green or blue taxi may not carry passengers directly into Shenzhen, Macao or Zhuhai. When you reach the Hong Kong crossing you get out, clear immigration, then walk or change to a Huanggang shuttle, a Gold Bus or other cross-boundary transport. A genuine through cross-boundary service needs its hire car permit and cross-boundary eligibility verified separately.
See Shenzhen Bay Control Point, Lok Ma Chau/Futian/Huanggang, Heung Yuen Wai/Liantang, Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port and the Hong Kong to Shenzhen Transfer Guide.
Changes, Cancellations and What If We Cannot Reach Each Other?
Changing the date or time
Send the original trip details and the new time in the same booking conversation, and wait for a clear confirmation. Sending "make it half an hour later" without a reply does not mean the driver has accepted the change.
Changing the address or adding a stop
A new address or stop changes the distance, waiting, class of vehicle and price. The original flat fare may no longer apply, and green and blue taxis are still bound by their statutory operating areas.
Cancelling a booking
Please tell us as soon as you can, with the original date, time and phone number. Whether a cancellation arrangement or any amount already paid is involved depends on the terms confirmed at booking and whether the driver has set out.
The driver has not arrived or cannot be reached
Check the date, time, address, registration number and phone number first, then contact us immediately through the channel you booked on. When you are chasing a flight or on an important trip, do not rely on a last-minute message — leave a travel buffer and a fallback.
Emergencies and Formal Complaints
Immediate danger to a person: call 999
Where there is immediate danger to a person, a crime, a serious threat, a traffic accident or someone injured, or where you need the police, fire services or an ambulance, call Hong Kong emergency services on 999 straight away. Do not wait for a reply on the number or WhatsApp on this page.
An ordinary service problem
Where lateness, a charge, baggage, payment, the meeting point or the driver's service is involved, keep the registration number, the driver identity plate, the date, time, location, the booking messages, the fare receipt and the payment record, then ask us to look into it through the channel you booked on.
A non-urgent taxi complaint
You can raise it with the Transport Complaints Unit on 2889 9999, or through 1823 or the relevant government channel. Immediate danger and an ordinary service complaint should be handled separately.

Contact and Booking: Frequently Asked Questions
Whether it is a pick-up or a drop-off, the date, the time, the full address, the destination, the airline and flight number, the number of passengers, your baggage, any stops en route and your payment method.
No. A booking is only confirmed once you have a clear acceptance, the trip details confirmed, and the dispatch or registration details.
How fast we reply depends on the time of day, how many enquiries are in, how complex the trip is and vehicle availability, so we cannot promise a fixed number of minutes. For an important trip, ask as early as you can.
We take transfer enquiries 24 hours, including trips in the small hours and early morning; the actual reply and dispatch depend on availability at the time and the formal confirmation.
Yes. Receiving a quotation does not mean you have booked; after accepting the trip you still need to wait for the formal confirmation and the dispatch details.
The airline, the flight number, the arrival date, your destination in Hong Kong, the passengers, the baggage, and a way to reach you after you land.
Yes. A delay, cancellation, change of flight number, diversion or delayed baggage should all be updated in the original booking conversation immediately.
At least a day ahead is advisable; for a long holiday, a large group, a lot of baggage, a remote area or a particular class of vehicle, ask earlier still.
You can ask, but the brands supported differ from vehicle to vehicle. If you must use a particular method, get it confirmed when you book.
Yes. You may ask for a machine-printed fare receipt; if the printer fails you should be given a handwritten one. It is best to ask before you arrive.
List the adults, the children and the size of each bag, plus any pushchair, wheelchair, golf bag or other oversized item. Where it exceeds what one vehicle can carry, another arrangement is needed.
You can ask about a transfer within Hong Kong to the main crossings. An ordinary Hong Kong taxi covers only the Hong Kong leg and may not carry passengers directly into Shenzhen, Macao or Zhuhai.
You can ask, but tell us as soon as possible through the channel you booked on and get a new confirmation. The arrangement follows the original terms and whether the driver has set out.
No. Where there is immediate danger to a person, a crime, a serious incident or someone injured, call Hong Kong emergency services on 999 straight away.
